Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the PJ Connect mobile app and web dashboard. By signing in, you agree to them.
Last updated 6 August 2026
1.The service
PJ Connect is a management platform for residential societies, operated by Pandit Javdekar. It provides notices, polls, maintenance requests, amenity bookings, a resident directory, visitor and gate management, domestic-helper attendance, document storage and emergency alerts.
Your society decides which of these features are switched on, and what your role is allowed to do. Some features described in the app may therefore be unavailable to you.
2.Who may use it
Accounts are created by your society, not by self-registration. You may use the service only if a society has given you a role in it — as a resident, family member, domestic helper, committee member or member of staff — and only for as long as that role lasts.
You must be an adult, or be added and supervised by an adult member of your household.
3.Your account
- Keep your PIN, password and one-time codes to yourself. Do not share your login.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell your committee or us promptly if you believe your account has been misused.
- Your phone number identifies your account. If it changes, ask your society to update it rather than creating a second account.
4.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful or obscene.
- Impersonate another resident, or misrepresent your role in the society.
- Use another household’s details, or attempt to view records your role does not grant you.
- Probe, scan or interfere with the service, or try to defeat its access controls or rate limits.
- Export the resident directory, or use anyone’s contact details for marketing, canvassing or any purpose unrelated to society business.
- Upload malware, or content you have no right to share.
- Automate or scrape the service without our written permission.
5.Emergency alerts and drills
The SOS feature notifies residents and responders within your society. It is not a replacement for the emergency services. In a genuine emergency, call the police, fire service or ambulance first.
Raising a false alarm is a serious misuse of the platform and may lead to your access being withdrawn. Practice drills must be clearly marked as drills using the drill option provided.
6.Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant your society, and us as its service provider, the right to store, display and distribute that content within the platform so that the feature you used can work.
You are responsible for what you post, including photographs of people and property. Committee members and building managers may remove or archive content that breaches these terms or society rules.
7.Visitor and gate features
Gate passes you generate are personal to the visitor named on them and to the time window you set. Do not forward a pass to anyone else. Your society is responsible for its own physical security decisions; the platform records and communicates them, it does not replace them.
8.Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend access for maintenance, upgrades or security. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn over time.
9.Suspension and termination
Your society may withdraw your access when your role ends — for example when you move out. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, or where we reasonably believe the service is being misused or residents’ safety is at risk.
You may delete your own account at any time from Settings → Delete my account.
10.Fees
The app is provided to residents at no charge by their society. Any payment or billing feature, where enabled, is operated by your society and is subject to its own rules.
11.Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from a society’s own decisions, configuration or physical security arrangements.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12.Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
13.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will notify you in the app where a change is significant. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
14.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
